A Look Back at Christchurch Carnival

This year, we were proud to be the headline sponsor for Christchurch Carnival! We joined the team from the carnival at the Bandstand on Christchurch Quay during the weekend – and had a wonderful time!

One highlight of the weekend was meeting so many members of the local community! Whether people stopped by the Bandstand to learn more about Hartstone, and what we do at Aster, chat with the team, or even catch some of the sweets we threw from the Bandstand, it was wonderful to see so many familiar and new faces. We also interviewed community members to learn what they loved about both being part of and attending the carnival, and what makes Christchurch such a special place. It was also wonderful to spend time with some of our existing shared owners and hear about their journeys to buy a home in Christchurch.

We also held a ‘Draw Your Dream Home’ competition, in which children and families took home an entry card to draw their dream home, with a Smyths Toys voucher as the prize for the winning drawing. We had so many wonderful drawings sent through via email and social media – it was amazing to see so much creativity! The winner of the competition was Margurite, age 12.

We had a fantastic time at the Carnival, and can’t wait for next year! A huge well done and thank you to the Christchurch Carnival team, who are all volunteers, for putting on such a wonderful event!
